Junior Doubles

Saturday 29th June, 2024, the Petanque England Junior Doubles Championships.

Will be held at Royal Wootton Bassett Petanque Club, Gerard Buxton Sports Ground, Brinkworth Road, Royal Wootton Bassett, SN4 8DS (3.2km from M4 J16 on B4042 towards Malmesbury).

Registration from 0915hrs, first boule at 1000hrs.

We are grateful to the Royal Wootton Bassett Petanque Club for hosting us. NOTE: THE CLUB WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO PROVIDE DRINKS DURING THE COMPETITION. PLEASE BRING PACK MEALS.

Entrants must be members of Petanque England and should be under 18yrs throughout 2024. This is a dual gender event, teams of girls, boys and mixed all welcome.  It is also an official Petanque England Championships and as such all players must wear matching tops. We have asked the Umpires commission to provide an official for the day.

The format will be two groups of five. Four games & a BYE in the initial round; the top two teams from each group will play a semi final, winners into the final. Losing semi finalists will play off for 3-4th place. The team’s in third place in each group will play each other, the fourth and fifth teams likewise.  A minimum of five games, a possible six.

There will be byes during the morning session – we are holding a pointing – shooting challenge which you can enter when you have a Bye.

The reigning champions are Ella and Jane, they are no longer juniors so we look forward to welcoming new Champions.
