Sunday, 13 July 2025 – East Norfolk Pétanque Club

Glorious sunshine greeted the 20 competitors who gathered at East Norfolk Pétanque Club for today’s APA Singles competition. The warm weather mirrored the friendly atmosphere, but the competition itself was fierce from the very first boule.

A big thank you goes to Graham Beales for organising a smooth and enjoyable day of play, keeping the schedule on track and ensuring everything ran like clockwork.

The standard of play was high throughout, with several close-fought games across the leagues. Two standout players remained unbeaten throughout the morning and continued their fine form into the knockout rounds.

Commiserations to Cheryl Morgan and Luisa D’Esposito, who both played excellent games but narrowly missed out in the main semi-finals, each losing to one of the day’s top performers.

In the end, congratulations go to Tony Morgan for an outstanding performance and claiming the APA Singles title – a well-deserved victory after a consistent and impressive day on the piste.
